Rural Web Design (formerly Ross Pagan Web Design) is operated in conjunction with another part-time position as a Dairy and Beef sales rep for the International Semen company Semex. I also own the website www.aiweb.co.nz which covers the semen side of the business.
I have an affinity with the rural sector, having been brought up on a sheep and beef farm at Beautiful Valley (half way between Geraldine and Fairlie) and after working for some years in a trading Bank I decided to go back to my rural roots and work on dairy farms in and around Rangiora. I now look after a 500 acre dairy run-off and small beef breeding farm at Mt Somers from where I also operate Rural Web Design.
Rural New Zealand has so many beautiful places that have been kept as local secrets, and so many farming related businesses that have the potential of recognition and expansion. Rural Web Design would like to give those businesses the opportunity, through the electronic media of the web, the opportunity to show off their skills, business knowledge, breeding, farming ability and interests to the rest of the local community and the world.
Rural businesses, their innovation and invention are highly respected enterprises along with the expert knowledge of their owner/operator/managers which is well sought after and respected throughout the world today.
Farming and the rural communities it supports still often punches above its weight but so often does not get the respect and accolades it deserves. Rural Web Design would like to give the opportunity for those businesses to change that with a clean, clear and easy to follow website.
